Dr Shelly-Anne Lalchan is a Consultant Ophthalmologist specialising in cataract and glaucoma surgery, with more than 13 years of consultant-level experience in the United Kingdom and internationally.
She completed her specialist ophthalmic training at leading UK centres including Moorfields Eye Hospital, followed by an advanced Glaucoma Fellowship at Western Eye Hospital, Imperial College Healthcare NHS Trust, London.
Dr Lalchan has particular expertise in advanced glaucoma surgery and is experienced in the full range of modern surgical and laser techniques for managing glaucoma, from minimally invasive approaches through to complex drainage procedures. She is also an experienced cataract surgeon, performing modern small-incision phacoemulsification surgery, and offers oculoplastic procedures and periorbital aesthetic treatments.
Dr Lalchan is an active educator and international speaker, having presented at meetings for the World Glaucoma Association, the American Academy of Ophthalmology, and WOLFE (World Ophthalmology Leaders Forum for Education). She has received the International Scholar Award and the International Education Award from the American Academy of Ophthalmology.
She is an Associate Member of the American Glaucoma Society and a member of the World Glaucoma Association.
