Conditions Requiring Urgent Care

You should seek urgent specialist assessment if you experience sudden loss or reduction of vision in one or both eyes, a sudden increase in floaters (especially with flashes of light or a shadow across your vision), a painful, red eye with blurred vision, chemical or physical injury to the eye, sudden onset of double vision, or a rapidly swelling or painful eyelid. These symptoms may indicate conditions such as retinal detachment, acute glaucoma, corneal ulcer, uveitis, or orbital cellulitis, all of which benefit from early specialist intervention.

Our consultants have access to advanced diagnostic equipment on-site, allowing rapid assessment and same-day diagnosis where needed.
